Red Robin, the gourmet burger chain, teamed up with Fusion Cross-Media recently to launch a campaign. It included QR codes in the contour-cut table decals and table tents of their restaurant.
The results? A huge success! Red Robin used QR codes
to traffic customers to a website, asking to complete a short survey (mobile accessible). The survey asked questions regarding frequency in visits and customer service. It allowed the customer to also receive a free appetizer with their current order. Also, if the results were positive, the customer has the option of posting their feedback on Facebook and allowing their friends to receive $3.00 off their next meal. If the customer had more negative feelings towards the chain, a manager was immediately contacted and would instantly come to the customer and smooth things over.
This small campaign allowed customer engagement for the popular burger chain. It also increased their customer relationships and gained insight for that particular store location.
